Basic Overlocked Skirt for child aged 2-10
Basic Overlocked Skirt Workshop (Ages 2–10) Date & Time: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Course overview Master the essentials of your overlocker while making a simple, comfortable skirt for a child aged 2–10. This hands-on class covers threading, tension, seam types, differential feed use, and neat edge finishes. If your Babylock includes a coverstitch function, you’ll learn how to use it to add professional-looking hems and decorative topstitching. Find inspiration during the session and personalise your skirt with trims and ribbon.
Who it’s for Suitable for all sewing levels — beginners welcome. Ideal for anyone who wants to gain confidence with their overlocker and produce a tidy, wearable garment.
What you’ll learn

Basic overlocker stitches for seams and finishes
Using differential feed to control stretch and gather
Adjusting tensions and stitch length for different fabrics
Trimming and finishing techniques for clean edges
Using the coverstitch (if available) for hems and embellishment
Simple fit adjustments for sizes 2–10
